Numeral's international (VAT/GST) fee structure

Numeral's flat per-jurisdiction pricing for international registration, monthly compliance, and tax payments.

Written by Sadie Rudiger

International pricing at Numeral is one flat rate per jurisdiction, whether you're registering in Western Europe or Southeast Asia — no regional tiers, no per-filing charges. This article covers the fee structure and a worked example.

đŸ”” If a country you're expanding into requires a local fiscal representative, that cost is separate and billed at cost — see Fiscal Representative Requirements by Country.

How pricing works

Fee

Price

What it covers

Registration / setup

$299 one-time, per jurisdiction

New registration or transfer from your current provider, tax portal setup, government fees, document prep, your virtual mailbox, and a dedicated onboarding team. Translations and certifications aren't included.

Monthly compliance

$199/month, per jurisdiction

All recurring returns at whatever frequency the authority requires, monitoring of rates and rules, year-round support, and backfilings at no extra charge.

Tax payments

Included through 2026, then $50 per jurisdiction

We calculate, send, track, and confirm your tax payments with the authority.

Fiscal representative (only where required)

Passed through at cost, no markup — see the breakdown below

A local fiscal representative, wherever the country requires one.

De-registration

$450 per jurisdiction

Closing your tax registration if you stop selling in a country.

Example

Say you sell digital services in the UK, Australia, and Singapore. Since none requires a fiscal representative, your costs would be:

Cost

Calculation

Total

One-time registration

3 jurisdictions × $299

$897

Monthly compliance

3 jurisdictions × $199

$597/month

Year-one total

$897 + ($597 × 12)

$8,061

That works out to about $224 per jurisdiction per month in year one, including registration and all recurring filings, with no per-filing fees.

Why international pricing differs from US pricing

In the US, every state follows the same broad sales tax framework. Outside the US, each country runs its own VAT or GST system — many require local representatives, translated and certified documents, or in-person steps at the tax office. We handle that work and turn it into one predictable monthly fee per jurisdiction.

Frequently asked questions

I'm already registered. Why is there a setup fee?

Transferring an existing registration often takes as much work as a new one. We review what was filed before, fix any gaps, and in many countries formally change your fiscal representative or local address.

Can I reclaim input VAT?

Yes. Share your purchase data with us at filing time and we'll include eligible input tax credits in your return.
