Numeral's US fee structure

An overview of Numeral’s standard pricing + how to view or update your billing settings in the dashboard.

Standard pricing

Numeral keeps pricing simple and transparent:

No subscription fee – We don't charge a monthly or annual platform fee.

$75 per filing – Flat fee, regardless of filing frequency (monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, annual, or prepayments) or filing method (manual, SST)

$150 per backfiling – Applies when a filing deadline has already passed. We'll help you get caught up and back in compliance.

$150 per amendment – Applies when a previously filed return needs to be corrected or updated.

$450 per sales tax account closure – If you need to close a sales tax account due to business closure or falling out of nexus, our team will ensure it's properly closed and in compliance.

Custom pricing

Some clients may have custom pricing based on their filing volume, complexity, or specific business needs. If you are on a custom pricing plan, you’ll see your tailored rates reflected in your invoices.

How you're billed

Numeral service fees are charged via Orb, separate from any tax you remit to the states — remittance banking information is stored separately in your company profile. For how invoices are issued, how to set up or update your payment method, and how to read your line items, see Understanding Your Numeral Invoice.

Other important notes

🟡 Additional fees to be aware of (unrelated to Numeral services): Some states may charge registration or renewal fees. If backfilings are required, states may also assess penalties or interest. These fees are separate from Numeral's service fees.

🔵 Deactivating or offboarding your account: We don't charge any fees to deactivate your Numeral account or transition your sales tax accounts back to you. Fees only apply if you request the closure of individual sales tax accounts, such as if your business is closing, being sold, or you no longer have nexus in a state.
