The BigCommerce integration connects via a store-level API account and registers Numeral as your store's official tax provider, so BigCommerce calls Numeral directly to calculate tax on every order, and Numeral commits the transaction for filing once the order completes. Numeral also reads product, customer, order, and transaction data, and refunds or voided orders sync back automatically as adjustments.
đ” Tax treatment note: After connecting, you'll configure "Provider targeting" in BigCommerce's Tax settings to specify which countries and subdivisions Numeral should calculate tax for. That targeting step is what actually activates tax calculation â completing the API connection alone isn't enough.
