Salesforce Sales Cloud

Connect Salesforce Sales Cloud for automated tax calculation on Quotes and Orders, with transaction filing included.

Written by Sadie Rudiger

The Salesforce Sales Cloud integration installs a managed package and a "Numeral Tax" Lightning component onto Quote and Order record pages, syncing Opportunities, Orders, Products, and related records daily via Fivetran. Saving a Quote or activating an Order triggers Numeral to calculate or commit tax, visible through a status badge (Pending → Calculated → Committed), with native Tax and Grand Total fields updating automatically.

đŸ”” Tax treatment note: Quotes and Orders need a shipping address to determine the correct tax jurisdiction (Orders without one fall back to the Account's billing address). Once an Order is activated, its tax is "Committed" and locked—it can't be recalculated unless the Order is moved back to Draft. Tax calculation IDs expire after 24 hours, so reactivating an Order after that window requires clicking "Recalculate Tax" first.
