QuickBooks Online

Connect QuickBooks Online so Numeral's tax engine applies accurate sales tax to your invoices automatically.

Written by Sadie Rudiger

The QuickBooks Online integration connects through a standard authentication flow from the Numeral dashboard and continuously pulls customer information, line items, and invoice details from QBO to monitor nexus and prepare tax returns. As part of go-live, you'll turn off QuickBooks' native sales tax (My Apps > Sales Tax > Sales Tax Settings) and coordinate a start date with your Numeral Onboarding Manager.

đŸ”” Tax treatment note: Tax only applies for customers in states where you hold an active registration, and Numeral won't collect tax before your confirmed go-live date. Product categories are set up directly in Numeral's Developers section—QBO's own categories don't transfer—and tax-exempt customers need to be marked exempt within QBO's customer settings. Note: auto-finalized invoices won't show tax until they're saved (and sometimes reopened).
