Marketplace sales count toward your economic nexus thresholds just like direct sales do, so leaving a marketplace unconnected can cause Numeral to miss the point at which a new state registration is triggered.
šµ Tax treatment note: Marketplace facilitator laws generally shift tax collection responsibility for marketplace sales to the marketplace operator (Amazon, Walmart, eBay) rather than youābut this doesn't eliminate all seller obligations. You may still need to report marketplace sales on your own returns (as exempt sales or via an informational filing), and marketplace revenue still counts toward economic nexus thresholds that can trigger registration for your non-marketplace channels.
